She was predeceased by: her parents, Elbert Palmer and Mahala Palmer (Kuhn); her former husband Charles Eaton (Charles Keith Barnes); her brother Augustus Palmer; and her niece Stacey Elsasser.
She is survived by: her husband Charles "Keith" Barnes; her sisters, Priscilla McGee and Cynthia Overby; and her children, Melissa Foster (Brian), Nicole Eaton, Eric Eaton (Kristy Godsey) and Nancy Shearey (Chad). She is also survived by 28 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great-grandchildren.
