He was predeceased by: his parents, Emanuel William and Laura Ethel Bauerle (Yaw); his wife Garneta Kimberling; his siblings, Vera Kleven (Walter), Alta Fuehrer (LeRoy) and Don Bauerle (Burnetta); and his sisters-in-law, Oneta Silvester (Bill) and Betty Kimberling.
He is survived by: his children, Marcia, Marla, William, Michael, Margaret and Mary Lynn Horst (Brian) of North Platte, NE.; his grandchildren, Brock Lindau (Lisa) of Blair, NE, Carrie Reiger (Marc) of Henderson, NE, Brandon Lindau (Lisa) of Seward, NE, Brett Lindau (Marisa) of Grand Junction, CO, Courtney Hemker (Dale) of Danville, IL, Jeremy Hill (Nagehan) of Saint Charles, MO, Laura Lynn Horst of North Platte, NE, Maika Leibbrandt (Scott) of Imperial, NE, Megan Kelley (Kevin) of North Platte, NE, Lucas Bauerle of Clovis, NM, Andrew Nelson of Gretna, NE, Quinn Nelson of Omaha, NE, Anna Brokaw (Brady) of Grand Island, NE, Emma Bauerle of Lincoln, NE, Jack Bauerle of Imperial, NE and Bennett Bauerle of Lincoln, NE.; and his brother-in-law Cleon Kimberling.
