With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Merlin D. Ring of Hyannis, Nebraska, born in Alliance, Nebraska, who passed away on August 14, 2021 at the age of 80. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Merlin D. Ring to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, George Ring and Cleo Ring (Rentfro); and his mother-in-law Joy Carpenter. He is survived by: his wife Tonchita "Toni" J. Carpenter; his daughters, Kimberli Escalera (Arthur) of Scottsbluff, Shonda Sheets (Mark) of Alliance, Mitzi Lenz (Peter) of Lincoln and Merla Heuertz of Oklahoma City; his grandchildren, Erin Lenz, Tyler Lenz, Kayla Sheets, Jaden Heuertz, Jalyn Heuertz and Jevon Heuertz; his siblings, June Thompson of Kansas and Virgil (Betty); his brother-in-law Jack Thompson; and his father-in-law Don. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be given to the Grant County Rescue Service towards the new ambulance fund.
