She was predeceased by: her parents, Madelyn Jean Russell (Swetz) and Leonard Russell; her stepmother Ethel Russell; her husband Benny Simpson Sr.; her grandson Trent Davis; and her sister-in-law Alice Gier (Glen).
She is survived by: her children, Benj Simpson Jr. (Jan) of Whitman, Len Simpson (Rhonda) of Hyannis, Connie Yauney (Bruce) of Sutherland and Micki VanRenan (Jeff) of Percival, IA; her grandchildren, Jason Simpson, Amy Evans (Dustin), Rebecca Watson, Kent Simpson (Amanda), Amanda Carr (Jason), Troy Davis, Sara Roberts and Dusty VanRenan; her brother Calvin Russell of Battle Ground, WA; and her nieces, Beverly Uphoff and Bonnie Strasburger (Mike). She is also survived by 20 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandson.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the American Legion Auxiliary Post 57 and the Hyannis Congregational Church.
