He was predeceased by: his parents, Jesse Gerdes and Dorothea Gerdes (Weatherfield); and his siblings, Loren Gerdes and Caroline Gerdes. He is survived by: his wife Linda; his children, Teresa McQueen (Jon) of Falls City, NE, Tracy Gerdes (Jennifer) of Pleasant Dale, NE and Tina Gerdes of Falls City, NE; his grandchildren, Jessica Gruber (Adam), Brett McQueen, Thomas McQueen (Shannan), Jesse Gerdes, Allie Gerdes and Alex Nelsen; his great grandchildren, Baelynn, Aryss, Paityn Gruber and Kendel McQueen; and his sisters, Donna Donovan of Kansas City, MO and Marilyn Glather (Tom) of Lincoln, NE. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
