She was predeceased by: her parents, Leo A. Carten and Della M. Carten (Reid); and her siblings, Mary, Peg, Christine, Ruth, Leo and John Carten.
She is survived by: her husband Robert "Bob" Berggren of Humboldt; her daughters, Patricia Kanel (Jay) of Humboldt and Barbara O'Connor (Jack) of Blaine, KS; her grandchildren, Jayson Kanel of Humboldt, Michael Kanel (Kari) of Humboldt, Kelly Shupp (Jed) of Humboldt and Patrick O'Connor (Dom) of Blaine, KS; and her great grandchildren, Kassidy, Morgan, Blaine Kanel of Humboldt, William, Emma Shupp of Humboldt, Liam and T. J. O'Connor of Blaine, KS. She is also survived by many other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 5th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM at the Wherry Mortuary (207 Nemaha St, Humboldt, NE 68376). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 6th 2025 at 10:30 AM and at 11:00 AM at the Humboldt United Methodist Church (340 Nemaha St, Humboldt, NE 68376).
Memorial contributions may be given to family's choice with a later designation.
