He was predeceased by: his parents, Erwin Haase and Olivia Haase (Leimer); and his brothers-in-law, Dallas Moeller and Frank Jones. He is survived by: his wife Doris Peters; his children, Jerry Haase of Pender, Judy Jones (Kevin) of Ralston, Teresa Jenkins of Ceresco, Timmy Haase of Howells and Danny Haase of Howells; and his sister Joan Jones of Wisner. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
