He was predeceased by: his parents, George Nelson and Myrtle Nelson; his brother Jerry; and his brother-in-law Terry Carlson. He is survived by: his wife Joan (Hargens); his daughters, Pam Nelson-Hollis of Albany, CA and Cathy Edmondson (Brad) of Johnston, IA; his stepson Mike (Sage) of Wolcott, CO.; his grandchildren, Noah Edmondson, Zach Edmondson, Ben Edmondson, Peyton Nelson, Jackson Hollis, Gabe Hollis and Wyatt Nelson; his siblings, Judy Carlson and Joel; and his sister-in-law Carol Hargens. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
