He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Sherbondy of Hooper; his children, Ronald of Fremont, Brian Havekost of Fremont and Christina Dunn (Chris) of Atkinson, NE; his siblings, David Havekost (Joan) of Bennington, NE, Judith Brauner (Lyle) of St. Edward, NE and Deborah Preiner (David) of Battlefield, MO; and his grandchildren, Samantha, Abigail Dunn of Atkinson, NE, Hannah, Ben and Ethan Havekost of Omaha.
