He was predeceased by: his brother Lee. He is survived by: his wife Joanne Meier; his brother Ray; his children, Denise (Bill), David and Randy; his daughters-in-law, Melanie and Jenny; his grandchildren, Claire, Caroline, Sarah, Benjamin and Nathan; his stepgrandchild Michele Cornejo; his children, Mikayla, Gabriel and Isaiah; his stepgranddaughter Sarah; and his father Raymond Alvin.
In lieu of flowers memorials will be donated to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society honoring Alvin's memory and his battle with Hairy Cell Leukemia.
