She was predeceased by: her husband Hans H. Jessen; her daughter Mary Louise; her parents, Hans Nelsen and Myrtle Nelsen; her daughter-in-law Rae Jean Jessen; and her sisters, Nellie June Beardshear, Ellen Detches, Mary Jean Nelsen, Burtha Jessen and Helga Nelsen.
She is survived by: her children, Sharen Wingert (Raymond) of Jackson, NE, Allen Jessen (Connie) of Norfolk and Larry Jessen of Homer, NE; her grandchildren, Brian Wingert of Winnebago, NE, Amy Crosgrove (Kevin) of Jackson, NE, Curt Wingert (Erin) of Springs Mill, PA, Renee McClure (Rhett) of Lincoln, NE, Paul Jessen (Meredith) of Norfolk, NE and Amanda Jessen of Homer, NE; and her siblings, Elda Warren (Wayne) of Emerson, NE, Myrtle Orendain of Fresno, CA, Hans Nelsen, Jr. (Joann) of Emerson, NE., Kay Nelsen of Emerson, NE. and Jon David Nelsen (Diane) of Emerson, NE.. She is also survived by 15 great-grandchildren.
