She was predeceased by: her parents, John VanCleave and Geneva VanCleave (Georgesen); her parents-in-law, Virgil and Marie Newman; and her brother-in-law Jerry Newman.

She is survived by: her husband Raymond Newman; her children, Sheila Hemmings (Jon) of Columbus and Craig Newman; her granddaughter Anya Polomis; and her brothers, Mike of Nevada and Mark (Julie Newman).
