He is survived by: his children, James Smock of Salem, Massachusetts and Valoree Smock of Conway, Arkansas; his stepdaughters, Dena Favinger of Cozad and Jessica Friesen (Darren) of Grand Island, Nebraska; his siblings, Dale Smock of Lincoln and Clara Arfmann (Wayne Pelan) of Lincoln, Nebraska; his friend Patricia Sheneman of Holdrege; and his sister-in-law Ree Smock of McCook, Nebraska. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A memorial service was held on Thursday, February 20th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 11:45 AM at the Nelson-Bauer Funeral Home (401 Burlington St, Holdrege, NE 68949).
