She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert T. McElvain and Inez M. McElvain (Englund); her in-laws, Walter and Evelyn Tiedje (Hambidge); and her brother-in-law Richard Tiedje.
She is survived by: her husband John Tiedje of Holdrege; her sons, Andrew Tiedje (Kathleen) of Plymouth, Nebraska, Cody Tiedje (Amy) of Holdrege and Brian Tiedje; her grandchildren, Evolet Tiedje, Kaylee Tiedje and Peyton; her great grandchild Lailah; her sister Nancy Loeffel (James) of Lincoln, Nebraska; and her siblings-in-law, Larry Tiedje (Linda) of Owings Mills, Maryland and Anita Borman of Indiana. She is also survived by other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, February 12th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Nelson-Bauer Funeral Home (401 Burlington St, Holdrege, NE 68949). A memorial service was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Moses Hill Evangelical Covenant Church (11071 737 Rd, Loomis, NE 68958).
A memorial has been established in Phyllis' honor and kindly suggested to Moses Hill Evangelical Covenant Church.
