She was predeceased by: her parents, Lloyd Speidel and Elva Speidel (Newton); her parents-in-law, Willie and Clara Wendell (Walters); her husband Lester W. Wendell; her son Larry Wendell; her granddaughter Andrea; her brother Glenn Speidel; and her siblings-in-law, Verle (Elvera), Loren (Mildred), Paul (Ruth), Ron (Ruby Jean) and Marvin.

She is survived by: her children, Monte Wendell (Cinde) of Johnson Lake, Nebraska and Cheryl Echtenkamp (Dennis) of Kearney, Nebraska; her daughter-in-law Carol Wendell Schwanz (Dave) of Alma, Nebraska; her grandchildren, Lisa Mason (Brett) of Bertrand, Nebraska, Michelle Samuelson (Brent) of Bertrand, Mike Wendell (Stacey) of Smithfield, Nebraska, Jeanne Strain (Scott) of Omaha, Nebraska, Beth Wagner (Paul) of Papillion, Nebraska, Stacy Souerdyke of Papillion, Jill Lavene (Justin) of Lincoln, Nebraska, Kirk Harms (Megan) of Kearney, Nebraska and Joe Wendell (Hannah) of Smithfield; her great grandchildren, Bryce, Haley, Allison, Jake, Peyton, Kaylee A., Olivia, Landon, Kyler, Kaylee W., Ava, Erin, Lacie, Laina, Regan, Coy, Addie, Dylan, Carter, Grant, Ashlyn, Claire, Millie and Tony; her great great grandchildren, Stella, Rooney and Jordyn; her sister Jean Johnson of Holdrege; and her sister-in-law Dot Speidel of Santa Cruz, California. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended relatives and friends.
