He was predeceased by: his son Stephen Howard; his sisters, Violet Danhauer, Dorothy Howland and Virginia Henthorn; and his son-in-law Richard McClymont.
He is survived by: his siblings, Henry F. and Emy S. Sandberg (Larsson); his wife Doris J. Jackson of Holdrege; and his children, Sherry McClymont of Holdrege, Thomas Sandberg (Susan) of Axtell, Nebraska and Carmen Bruce (Mark) of Palmer Lake, Colorado. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; along with nieces, nephews, and extended family.
