He was predeceased by: his parents, William "Allen" Ivey and Martha "Mattie" Ivey (Stephenson); his wife LoDema; his daughters, LaNoma and Marvel Borden (Scott); his great grandchild Alli Mae Dannull; his sister Willabell Buck (Charles); and his sister-in-law Georgina Rademaker (Ervin).
He is survived by: his children, Ron Ivey (Carol) of Oxford, Nebraska, Willa Dannull (Cliff) of Holdrege and Jon Ivey (Jana) of Johnson Lake, Nebraska; his granddaughter Jennie Kreifels of Fremont, Nebraska; and his children, Seth Ivey (Leigh) of Oxford, Heidi Baily (Craig) of Oxford, Holly Holste (Nick) of Oxford, Haley Moon (Jeff) of Holdrege, Brett Dannull (Katie) of Holdrege, Shelby Borden of Elwood and Aaron Borden (Larissa) of Lincoln, Nebraska. He is also survived by 18 great-grandchildren; along with many nieces, nephews, other extended family members and friends.
A memorial has been established in John's honor and kindly suggested to the Bethel Lutheran Church.
