He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl, Sr. Soneson and Metta Kirstina Soneson (Schmidt); his wife Lucille Belle Olson; his great grandchild Kale Soneson; his brother Carl "Bud" Soneson, Jr.; and his siblings-in-law, Rogene Peterson, Lois Rydlund (Bill), Paul Murdoch, Kenneth Olson and Karl Gugel.
He is survived by: his children, Jeffrey, Mike Soneson (Marcia) of Holdrege, Jeff Soneson (Deb) of Funk and Cherie Brendel (Scott) of Holdrege; his grandchildren, Brent Soneson (Abbie), Ethan Soneson (Kaylie), Heather McQuillan (Chris), Brooke Wheeler (Greg), Amy Carpenter (Quinton Standage), Kinsey Koch (Justin), Kirsten Hernandez (Angel), Evan Soneson and Hunter Brenn; his sisters, Ardyce Murdoch of Cheyenne, Wyoming and Marline Gugel of Holdrege; his siblings-in-law, Loretta Sturgis (Dale) of Holdrege, Peggy Soneson of St. Paul, Nebraska, Gwen Hardin (Olson) of Holdrege and Paul Peterson of Bertrand, Nebraska; his cousin John Schmidt of Kearney, Nebraska; and his close friends, Margy Hilsabeck, Tyler McClymont and Chuck Carpenter.
