She was predeceased by: her parents, Lloyd V. Elmen and Sylva K. Elmen (Hellie); her husband Wayne Carl Sass; her brothers, Bob Elmen (Rita) and Jim Elmen; and her brothers-in-law, Don and Dale Sass.
She is survived by: her children, Roger Sass (Susan) of Highlands Ranch, Colorado, Laurie Hill (Tim) of Holdrege and Amy Dennis (Pat) of Edmond, Oklahoma; her grandchildren, Paul, Hillary, Sara, Dillon, Jack, Jeffrey and Nathan; her great grandchildren, Lennon, Hayes, Collins, Sutton, Clara, Brooks and Audrey; and her sisters-in-law, Eloise Elmen of Sioux Falls and Elaine Klabunde (Erwin) of Elkhorn, Nebraska. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established in Betty's honor and kindly suggested to Holdrege Memorial Homes Foundation or the Nebraska Prairie Museum.
