He was predeceased by: his parents, Rev. Jacob Clyde and Alice Marie Fowler (Johnston); his parents-in-law, Bernard and Marjorie Palmer (Matthews); his siblings, Bill Fowler and Joyce Barnes (Fowler); his brother-in-law Barry Palmer; and his nephew Greg Palmer.

He is survived by: his wife Janice Fowler of Nebraska City; his children, Angela Cooper (Mike) of Excelsior Springs, Missouri, Stacy Parker (Barry) of Peru, Nebraska, Jeremy Fowler (Carmen) of York, Nebraska and Desiraé Tira (Jason) of Minden, Nebraska; his grandchildren, Ashley Lester (Josh), Logan Cooper, Jake Parker, Blake Parker, Connor Parker, Becca Parker, Brittany Canaday, Gavin Fowler, Marley Fowler, Halen Fowler, Alexis Tira, Izabella Tira and Amelia Tira; and his siblings-in-law, Morrie Palmer (Judy) of Grand Island, Nebraska, Howard Barnes of Wichita, Kansas, Bonnie Young (Doug) of Holdrege, Annie Oswald (Randy) of Omaha, Nebraska and Gayleen Nester of Stromsburg, Nebraska. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other extended family members and friends.

A memorial has been established in Ed's honor and kindly suggested to the family for later designation.
