Dorothy F. Olson Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Dorothy F. Olson of Holdrege, Nebraska, who passed away on November 7, 2023 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Roy W. Hammond and Rose May Hammond (Sink); her great grandchild Hope Martin; her siblings, Robert Hammond, C. E. "Lucky" Hammond, Darlena June Elston, Berdena Ryan, Donna Eckwall and Twilla Powley; her siblings-in-law, Darrell Elston, Gayle Olson and Jan Hammond; and her nephew Kenny Olson.
She is survived by: her husband Wayne C. Olson; her children, Bonny Kroeker (Glen) of Juniata, Nebraska, Brenda Martin (Theron) of Wilcox, Nebraska, Robert Olson (Kristin) of Holdrege and Lori Clark (Lonnie) of Longmont, Colorado; her siblings, Illa Remmels (Eugene) of Loveland, CO, Sharon Cover of Ohio and Sidney Hammond (Mary) of Holdrege; and her siblings-in-law, Bill Ryan of Sun City, AZ, Ralph Eckwall of Austin, TX, Jack Powley of Yutan, NE and Claire Olson of Holdrege. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
A memorial has been established in Dorothy's honor, and kindly suggested to the Phelps County Christian Charity Fund at Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church; 1419 East Avenue, Holdrege, Ne 68949; or to the Summer Lunch Program at the Wilcox United Methodist Church, 204 East Sapp Street, Wilcox, Ne 68982.
