He was predeceased by: his sister Marlene Haskins (Bill); and his parents-in-law, Corky and Phyllis Sober of Kenesaw, Nebraska.. He is survived by: his children, Art and Mary Meester (Paris); his former wife Judith R. Johnson; his wife Judy Meester of Holdrege; his stepdaughters, Corinne Gebel (Gary) of Wilcox, Nebraska, Jenay Andrijeski (Mike) of Oxford, Nebraska and Chris Layton (Jeff) of Oxford; and his grandchildren, Ashley Layton, Steven Andrijeski, Brandon Gebel, Curtis Layton and Emily Layton. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
A memorial has been established in Curtis' honor, and kindly suggested to the First Presbyterian Church in Holdrege.
