She was predeceased by: her husband Elliott "Ole" Olesen; her parents-in-law, Clarence and Millie Olesen (Christensen); her siblings, Marilyn Gloor (Richard), Ilene Brown (Wally) and Gerald Lindstrom (Martha); her brother-in-law DeWayne Alexander; her nephew Roger Wyatt; her sister-in-law Chrystal Keedle (Aljern); and her great grandchild Addison.

She is survived by: her children, Tom Olesen (Janis) of Smithfield, Nebraska and Diane Samuelson (Kent) of Loomis, Nebraska; her grandchild Shannon Hueftle (Bobby); her great grandchildren, Regaen, Aleya, Hadley and Wyatt of Smithfield; her grandchild Drew Olesen (Jessie); her great grandchildren, Waylon and Drake of Smithfield; her grandchild Adriane Garrett (John); her great grandchildren, Kenleigh, Brantley and Cruz of Hordville, Nebraska; her grandson Andrew Samuelson; her son Cole of Holdrege; her son-in-law Adam Samuelson (Jeni); her grandchildren, Taeylor, Luke, Samantha of Axtell, Nebraska and Amy Rademaker (Sean); her great grandchildren, Zachary and Zoey of Loomis; and her sisters, Cathryn Alexander of Gothenburg, Nebraska and Millie Brown (Jim) of Holdrege. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A memorial has been established in Carolyn's honor, and kindly suggested to the family for future designation.
