Gibson of Holdrege, Nebraska, born in Oxford, Nebraska, who passed away on November 15, 2023, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Emmett Maaske and Ella Maaske (Heller); her husband Eldon D. "Hoot" Gibson; her son Gary Gibson; her brothers, Cleatus Maaske and Kenneth Maaske; and her siblings-in-law, Noel Gibson (Ardis "Gracie"), Sara Reynolds (Art) and Leora Weatherwax.
She is survived by: her children, Joella, Jody Curtis (Galen) of Big Lake, Missouri, John Gibson (Debbie) of Duncan, Oklahoma and Stacee Stabenow (Shane) of Holdrege; her daughter-in-law Jeri of Lincoln, Nebraska; her brother Keith Maaske (Bobbie); and her sister-in-law June Maaske. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
A memorial has been established in Carol's honor, and kindly suggested to the family for later designation.
