He was predeceased by: his parents, Bob Backer and Elva Backer. He is survived by: his siblings, David Backer (Lori) of Boise, ID, Jody Crocker (Richie) and Fred Backer (Jane, family: Hershey) of McCook. He is also survived by his family, of Hershey; as well as 8 nieces and nephews, almost 10 great-nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are to Hershey Public Schools.
