He was predeceased by: his parents, Aurelio Rivera and Lucille Rivera (Orosco); his sister Beatrice Duff; and his brothers-in-law, Stephen Duff, Martin Mann and Brad Smith.
He is survived by: his wife Belinda Rivera of Denver, CO; his children, Denise Boyd of Elgin, IL, Juan Rivera of Wonder Lake, IL, Selina Rivera of Kentucky and Justin Dean of North Platte; his grandchildren, Silas, Remi Dean, Zoe Boyd, Jaxson Rivera, Kaylee McCann, Aria Rivera, Mya Freeman and Zacharia Freeman; and his siblings, Cathy Mann, Linda Smith, Raymond Rivera (Becki), Arthur Rivera, John Rivera and Theresa Berry (Doug). He is also survived by 4 nieces and 6 nephews.
