He was predeceased by: his parents, Melvin Labs and Doris Labs; and his siblings, Richard Labs and Karen Johnson. He is survived by: his former wife Barbara Coburn; his wife Barb; his sons, Michael Labs and David Labs (Dawn); his granddaughters, Alexis and Theona Labs; his pet Sammy; his sisters, Barb Scheer (Ron) and Kathleen Labs (Carey); and his siblings-in-law, Sara Labs, Trudy Stillman (Keith) and Nick Coburn (Patty). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Memorials may be directed to the St. Paul's Lutheran Church.
