It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of JoAnn Rothchild (Hebron, Nebraska), born in Nelson, Nebraska, who passed away on January 30, 2023, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Myrtle Stierwalt and George Stierwalt; and her brother Max Stierwalt. She is survived by: her brothers, Danny and George (Bug); her children, Michelle Achtemeier (Brad) of Beatrice, Bryan Rothchild (Chris) of Superior and Travis Rothchild (Jami Baloun) of Superior; her brother Bill Stierwalt of Beatrice; and her friends, Sue Renter of Valley and Mary Wheeland of Nelson. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers memorials be given to Nuckolls County Fair Stomp Out Cancer Fund, Box 204, Nelson, NE 68961.
