He was predeceased by: his father Marvin Long; his stepparents, Linda Long and Reinert Reinertson; and his grandparents, Maurice, Mamie Reiter, Paul Long and Dorothy Long Akridge.
He is survived by: his children, Kristen Brown (Jeremy) of Lincoln and Mitchell Long (Aly) of Pleasanton; his mother Carolyn Reinertson (Reiter) of Kearney; his brothers, Monte Long of Montrose, Kevin Long of Carter Lake and Kurt Long (Cindy) of Hazard; his stepbrother Randy Reinertson (Karen) of Elwood, Nebraska; his sister Sonya Sebree (Brett) of Corpus Christi; and his stepsister Tammy Esquivel (Edward) of Florida. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
