She is survived by: her son Blake Gigax (Mary) of Hayes Center; her daughter-in-law Maggie Gigax of Jacksonville, FL.; her grandchildren, Stephen Gigax of North Platte, Jennifer Gigax of Lenora, KS, Rebecca Grimes (JD) of Hayes Center, Alice Hulquist (Shawn) of St. Johns, FL. and Gene Gigax (Jennifer) of Jacksonville, FL.; and her great grandchildren, Garrett, Caitlyn, Wyatt Hulquist, Ryan, Emily Gigax, Eli, Embry Grimes and Patsy Gigax of Dallas, TX..
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 23rd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM at the Herrmann-Jones Funeral Chapel - McCook (607 Norris Ave, McCook, NE 69001). A rosary was held on Thursday, January 23rd 2025 from 6:00 PM to 6:30 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Friday, January 24th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Union Congregational United Church of Christ (301 Hall St, Hayes Center, NE 69032).
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Hayes Center Ambulance Fund in Barbara's name.
