He was predeceased by: his parents, Oliver Schliep and Clara Schliep (Hinrichs); his son Bruce Schliep; his grandchildren, Jake and Tayler Johnson; his parents-in-law, George and Nora Erthum; his sisters, Eileen Ethington and Ardis; his brother-in-law Don Olson; his brother Duane Schliep; his brother-in-law Darrell Heuertz; his brother Richard; and his sister-in-law Marge Erthum.
He is survived by: his wife Marilyn Erthum; his children, Lynette Anderson of Clay Center, Randy Schliep (Marla) of Waverly, Brenda Scoville (Doug) of Clay Center and Sue Johnson (Rick) of Louisville; and his siblings-in-law, Ron Ethington of Atlanta, GA, Fran Schliep of Hastings and Rosella Heuertz of Hastings. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.
Memorials are to be directed to the family to be designated at a later date in honor of Wesley.
