It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Larry Edsel Choate of Hastings, Nebraska, born in Iowa City, Iowa, who passed away on January 7, 2024, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Marvin Wayne and Crystal Blanche Choate (Harmon); his brother Perry Joe Choate; and his sisters-in-law, Donna Eberle and Bette Choate.

He is survived by: his wife JoAnn Choate; his daughter Lynette (Dave Cruz); and his siblings, Garry Choate and Kathy (Mark McFarland).

Memorials may be given to the family for a memorial to be established or Juniata United Methodist Church.
