He was predeceased by: his parents, Stanley Barta and Mary Barta (Souchek); his wife Donna Leapline; and his siblings, Ellen Kottwitz, Stanley Barta and Wayne Barta.
He is survived by: his children, John (Theresa Barta), Emmet (Lisa Barta) and Richard (Christina Barta); his grandchildren, Sarah Barta, Grace Barta, Emma Barta, Melissa, Matthew Taylor, Anna Barta and Kyle Weaver; his great grandchildren, Madison Taylor and Grayson Taylor; and his sister-in-law Mathena Barta.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Livingston Butler Volland Funeral Home & Cremation Center (1225 N Elm Ave, Hastings, NE 68901). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location.
Memorials may be given to the family for a memorial to be established at a later date.
