He is survived by: his son Ryan Dirks (Elizabeth); his grandchildren, Linea Wischmeier, Daniel Wischmeier, Kayelynn Wischmeier and Henry Dirks; his former spouse Terrala Ernst; his daughter-in-law Lisa Buesher; and his pet Cooper.
