He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, James W. Finley and Elva Finley Shonka (Papiernik); his son Joseph Finley; his brother Steve Finley; his stepfather Martin Shonka; his children, Spouse, Rhiannon Sanford, Jef and Krista Finley; his grandsons, Jacob Sanford, Alex Sanford, Jack Finley and Marcus Finley; his sisters, Linda (Mike Follmer) and Christine (Kurt Bogus); and his close friend Amy Matlock.
Memorials may be given to the family for a memorial to be established at a later date.
