She was predeceased by: her parents, Lloyd Steinbach and Verna Steinbach (Glidden); her former husband Kenneth Volkmer; her parents-in-law, Henry and Gertrude Romshek; her husband Henry Romshek Jr.; her brothers, Francis (Lynn Steinbach) and Clarence (Hannah Steinbach); and her siblings-in-law, Bob Johnson, Howard Meyers and Donna Meyers.
She is survived by: her children, Hellen, Spouse, Debby (Dennis Hoagland), Jennifer Romshek, Tim (Teri Romshek), Windsor and Henry James Romshek; her grandchildren, Denny Hoagland, Derrick Hoagland, Tom Romshek, Taylor Romshek, Jasmine Wengler and Amberie Torres; and her siblings, Jake (Mary Steinbach), Floyd Steinbach, Jim Steinbach, Jack Steinbach, Sargent, Dave (Mary Steinbach) and Hilda Johnson.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to the family for a memorial with the Sand Hills Cranes of the Platte River – Hellen loved watching these crazy birds and her children took her to view them every year.
