He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Buhr and Lula Buhr; his wife Patty Eckhardt; his sister Lavon Schroer; his siblings-in-law, Carol Eckhardt and Richard Haller; and his parents-in-law, Walter and Pauline Eckhardt.
He is survived by: his son Nathan Buhr; his daughter-in-law Wendy; his grandchildren, Payden and Brooklynn of Hastings, NE.; his sisters, Linda Carllson (John) and Lois Verbeck (Steve); and his siblings-in-law, Jim Schroer, Marcy Haller and Mary Lyberis (Bob).
