He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Marian and Jennie Marian; his wife Phyllis Mae McWhirter; his brothers, Roy (Betty Jo), Melvin, Wayne and Earl (Pam); his half-siblings, Forrest, Glen (Fern), Dale (Therese) and Mae; and his son-in-law Quigg Fenn.
He is survived by: his children, Michael Marian (Margie) and Kathy Fenn; his grandchildren, Nikki Fenn, Joshua Sickler (Melissa), Philip Sickler (Mel Belle) and Julie Sickler; his great grandchildren, Nathanael Sickler and Kadri Yuranko; his sisters-in-law, Marilyn Schkei, Marilyn McWhirter, Darlene (Bob Hinrichs) and Betty Marian; and his friend Hastings. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins.
Memorials may be given to the Adams County Historical Society, Start Over Rover, or the Hastings Military Honor Guard.
