It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dorothy Smith of Hastings, Nebraska, who passed away on September 11, 2021, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Daniel Schlaphof and Louise Schlaphof (Reike); and her husband Richard F. Smith. She is survived by: her daughters, Diane Busboom of Hastings and Carolyn Smith of Hastings; her granddaughter Jamie (Alex Dixon) of Denver, CO; and her great grandchildren, Audrey and Anya Dixon.
Memorials may be given to the family for a memorial to be established at a later date.
