He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Starkey and Carol Starkey (Nerly); and his sister Noreen Church. He is survived by: his girlfriend Joyce Roper of Hastings; his children, Joe Starkey of Clarksville, TN, Teresa Starkey (Junior Monie) of Grand Island, Steve Starkey (Julie) of Council Bluffs, Brandon Starkey of Marquette and Brian Starkey of Grand Island; and his siblings, Gary Starkey (Pat) of Grand Island, Tom Starkey (Sylvia) of Herford, Mike Starkey (Irene) of Schuyler, Doug Starkey (Joanne) of Columbus, Virginia Pocwierz (Ted) of Columbus and Bonnie Grantski (Gary) of Beaver Crossing. He is also survived by ten grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren.
Memorials are suggested to the family to be determined at a later date.
