He was predeceased by: his parents, Leroy Haverty and Modenia Irene Haverty (Brown); his wife Rose Dahlia Epping; his sisters, Beryl Haverty, Minnie Kelly Knapp and Elburna Nicholas; and his close friend Rose Foster.

He is survived by: his brother Leroy Dale Haverty (Anna) of Nebraska City; his nieces, Ida Leth (Jim) of Scotia, Modenia Hays of Louisiana, Linda Watkins (Ken) of Arkansas and Ellen Spann of Arkansas; and his close friend Rochelle Foster. He is also survived by grand-children and many other relatives and friends.
