He is survived by: his wife Janet Schawang; his children, Kimberly Schawang-Smith (George) and Kevin Schawang (Meggan); his grandchildren, Elizabeth Smith, Kearney, Jay Smith, Omaha, Lynn Smith, Arthur Schawang, Hastings and Henry Schawang; his sisters-in-law, Christine Young, Hastings and Nancy Schawang; his nieces and nephews, Jeannie Mullins (Dave), Jackie Way (Terry), Martha Chapple (Todd), Teresa Schawang, Rick Schawang (Lisa), Daren Schawang (Kim) and Patrick Crawford; and his pet Jamie.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Start Over Rover or First Presbyterian Church Renovation Campaign.
