He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Smidt and Agnes Smidt (Genschmer); and his daughter Lori Webster. He is survived by: his wife Georgene of Hastings; his daughters, Teresa Smidt of Hastings and Andi McLey (Craig) of Hastings; his son-in-law Kyle Webster of Platte City, MO; his grandchildren, Zach (Amber) of Platte City, MO, Spencer Webster of Kansas City, MO, Rylee Webster of Kansas City, MO, Sawyer Nietfeld of Denver, CO and Quinn Nietfeld of Denver, CO; his great grandchild Rowan Webster of Platte City, MO; and his siblings, Gary Smidt (Elaine) of Ankeny, IA and Carol Thompson (Joe) of Hastings, NE. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
