She was predeceased by: her parents, Mary Alice Findley Dafoe and Charles Albert Dafoe; her husband George L. Welch; her sister Mary Elizabeth Osborne; her brothers-in-law, Willis Steinberg and Lawrence Osborne; her niece Jane Steinberg; and her cousin Robert Troxel.
She is survived by: her son John Welch; her daughter-in-law Peg Welch; her grandchildren, George Welch (Chelsey), Jack Welch and Alice Welch (Chase); her daughters, Jennifer Schmitt, Janet and Barbara Welch; her grandchildren, Henry Molnar and Elizabeth Molnar; her sister Barbara Jane Steinberg; and also, Larry Schmitt, Laura Counsell (David), Ellen McLean (Myles), Claire Schmitt, Jeff Matthes, Jennifer LeMoyne (Sam), Anna Fair, Elise and Celeste Matthes. She is also survived by six great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the First United Methodist Church, Adams County Historical Society, or the Hastings Community Foundation.
