He is survived by: his wife Sharon (Kort) of Hastings; his daughter Bonnie Meyer (Bryon) of Hastings; his grandson Brandon Meyer (Shayna) of Davey, NE; his great grandchildren, Macy, Wyatt, Jackson, Brooklyn and Brittany Epp (Landon) of Ayr, NE; his daughter Rita Bankson (Doyle) of Hastings; his grandchildren, Ashley of Omaha and Zach of Denver, CO; his daughter Mitzi Johnson (Jeff) of Omaha; his granddaughter Amelia; his son Mitch Petersen (Andrea) of Melbourne, FL; his brothers, Jerry Petersen of Omaha and Jay Petersen of Kearney; his siblings-in-law, Shirley Hesselschwerdt (Ron) of Little Rock, AR, Betty Reiber of Hastings and Byron Kort (Pat) of Palm Coast, FL.; and also Sawyer.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the family for a memorial to be established at a later date.
