It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Avolon M. Nelson (Hastings, Nebraska), born in Kenesaw, Nebraska, who passed away on August 22, 2023, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Arthur Nienhueser and Laura Nienhueser (Augustin); her husband C. Luwane Nelson; her brother Eugene Nienhueser; and her nephew Doug Nienhueser.
She is survived by: her niece Pam Henderson (Rick); her nephews, Darrin Nienhueser (Karen) and Noel Nienhueser (Joan); her foster son Rick Scott (Carolyn); her great-nieces and great-nephews, William Henderson, Jacob Nienhueser (Megan), Joshua Nienhueser, Jonathan Nienhueser, Jaden Nienhueser, Desirae Junker (Tristan) and Melinda Nienhueser; and also Rori Junker.
Memorials are suggested to be given to the Zion Wanda Lutheran Cemetery fund.
