She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert Bishoff and Johanna Bishoff (Stedt); her husband Robert Schmer; and her siblings, Bernard Bishoff, Lawrence Bishoff, Dorothy Farrall and Alice Grosshans.
She is survived by: her daughter Christy Klein (Garry); her grandchildren, Amanda Klein Turner (Kevin) and Joshua Klein (Emilie); and her great grandchildren, Vivienne, Evan Turner, Colby and Nola Klein. She is also survived by niece and nephews.
Memorials may be given to Cottey College associated with PEO College, Ruth was born on December 19, 1924 to Albert and Johanna (Stedt) Bishoff on a farm north of Harvard.
