He was predeceased by: his parents, Lee Jones and Elsie Jones. He is survived by: his siblings, Chester, Faye and Frannie; his niece Janice Domeier of Hastings, NE; and his nephew Robert "Bob" Stett of Harvard, NE. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be directed to the Alan Jones VFW Post Auxiliary.
