He is survived by: his children, Kenneth Francis Schmidt (Sheila) of Hartington, Marty Schmidt of Hartington and Gail Ormiston (Guy) of Maypearl, TX; his children-in-law, Jeanie Schmidt of Maryville, MO and Nick Heller of Wisner, NE; his great grandchild Chris Schmidt (Sally); his children, Alex, Nathan of Hartington, Kelly Frazee (Brandon), Lizzy, Colin of Yankton, SD, Dana Schmidt of Yankton, SD, Diane Schmidt of Hartington, Rachelle Hanley (Shaun), Austyn (Caleb), Calista Ormiston (Greg Ormiston), Maggie Schmidt (Andy Schmidt), Kate Heller of Omaha, NE and Jill Heller of Vermillion, SD; and also Clare Schmidt of Hartington.
