It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Joan Burney (Hartington, Nebraska), born in Walthill, Nebraska, who passed away on July 13, 2019, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Emmett Rossiter and June Rossiter; her husband Howard Keith Burney; her son David; and her siblings, Lawrence, Vincent Rossiter, Mary Gengler, Connie Livingstone, June Stockwell and Anne Millea.

She is survived by: her children, Robert of Cambria, CA, Bill of Pismo Beach, CA, John (Lincoln), Juli (Lincoln), Tom (Pam) and Chuck (Kathy); her grandchildren, Kate, Abbie, Jayme Burney and Marc Abraham Burney-Webb; and her great grandchild Darien Fuller. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to the Joan Burney Scholarship Fund through the Hartington Community Foundation, % Scott S. POB 77 229 N. Broadway, Hartington, NE 68739.
